Coronavirus in the UK

The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

Make of this what you will. Our Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council has decided our street markets will remain open but there is a catch. Only those selling foodstuffs will be allowed to trade.

I think people are going to try and dodge this as much as they can as their behaviour thus far has been ridiculous and unfortunately I think we are going to get many, many cases just because of their stupidity.

I got the support email from them this afternoon. I've been surprised just how many utility suppliers, banks, local councils, mental health, neighbourhood communities etc have been informing me about help available. One thing about a crisis that none of us have ever experienced in our lifetime is that the country is pulling together to try and beat this.

Then again there are others that should be ashamed...yes I mean you Mike Ashley!
