The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51325192

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

You think its just the current government? Remove those and what's left are equally incompentent and lets not bother with joke of the opposition who are more than willing to agree to everything the government says with Covid. Don't think for a minute the cronyism of Tories wouldn't be applied if Labour were in power just not reported as immediate.

Oh but what about the devolved governments doing a better job? If you think Boris is third rate then let me introduce you to Mark "non-essentials" Drakeford and Nicola "We will take your Freedom" Sturgeon who have taken every opportunity to cover their gross ineptitude. Note that we've almost now got manned borders on mainland UK which is a nationalists dream (yet ironic!). I'd love to see a rise of independent MP's or parties but it won't happen and we will be subjected to the gross ineptitude again and again and again. Not that the law will allow another party to exist without ticking the woke agenda boxes (look that one up...).

Lets add to the list the utterly pathetic mainstream media who are more than complicit in all of this. Zero objectionality and are only interested in selling headlines to their dwindling base of readers outside of London. Needless to say I don't watch or read the mainstream media anymore for anything serious because they've given up being impartial and truthful with their agenda and it shows.

Whilst we're here moaning about the UK, the same thing is happening in Australia (Melbourne in particular) and Canada. The use of police there is a taster of what is about to happen here and its already happening in mainland Europe but like I said, mainstream media will make you believe otherwise. I am so looking forward to the last pawn for The Great Reset being put in place in January.

Have I mentioned a few wars about to break out in several bubbling hotspots yet? Think 2021 is going to be better, not likely.

Yes, @sheepdog.  What did people think would happen with an election and referendum when faced with two "opposing" parties, who both wanted the same thing, ie. to leave the EU?

And as for devolved governments, yeah, that's going down well in offshore UK, all 6 counties of it, too.

Would it help if I just went stark raving bonkers now? Astounded

To be honest, there is so much **** being spouted by the Goverment relating to Covid and Brexit, I have stopped listening to the news. Something I have never done before. I think it's everyone's routine dose of depression and I am sick of hearing it.

Not being selfish about any other part of the country, but I can NOT understand how this little part of Warwickshire was in Tier 1 pre 'circuit breaker' and now find ourselves in Tier 3.

This Christmas was pretty important for our family and the government have just blown it out of the sodding water...

The lot of them can just go to hell and back in a handbasket and I wouldn't shed a tear.

Lovely to watch @pgn

However, did those nice elderly people have to live with governments who didn't know their ass from their elbow?

A government who bumbled on giving false promises that after the 2nd lockdown, things would go back to a new normal and instead punished 60 % of the country by putting a bigger padlock on the door of freedom? Who ruined businesses, destroyed mental health and caused poverty, the like of which we have never seen before?

No, I don't think so.

No, they did not, @Cleoriff. The have a government that recognised the value of actually making sure people were able to stay at home without any loss of income, making sure the health system was able to handle the burden of many sick and ill patients needing breathing assistance in ICU beds, made sure those healthy ones suffered no cost, no loss to the companies they worked for...

The UK lot are just thieving, greedy, conniving, heartless, money grabbing murdering ******.

Also. I asked the question @pgn  mainly due to an 'incident' which happened close to me yesterday.

We have a long road called the A444 which links Nuneaton to Coventry and the M6.

It was brought to  standstill yesterday whilst paramedics and police talked down a young woman with 3 kids who was threatening to jump from an overhead bridge.

She had lost her Mum to a non related Covid condition and wasn't allowed in to see her before she died. She and her husband had both lost their jobs and she had reached a stage where she felt life was no longer worth living. She was beyond reason about her 3 children which shows the state of her mental health now. She had NO mental health issues prior to March 2020.

She was talked down eventually and people went on their merry way on the A444. There are 1000's more like this women and no-one can do anything about it.

That's shocking, @Cleoriff. We have a big bridge over the river near us - Foyle Search&Rescue (volunteers) and emergency services have been called a number of times in the past 2 weeks for reports of "a person entering the water". On at least 2 occasions, "a retrieval was made from the rushes or growth on one or other shore" 2 or 3 days later.
https://www.foylesearchandrescue.com/about-us/
It is heartbreaking for all involved.
