Coronavirus in the UK

The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

The mixed messages are going to lead inevitably to scuffles, sadly.

People are fed up of having to do what they are told, and are trying to do what their peers and those leading the country are doing - regardkess. And despite the fact that consideration for your safety and the safety of others around you is really everyone's responsibility. If you have to be told not to drink coffee served in a cardboard cup because "Contents Might Be Hot", well...

The Darwin awards will inevitably meet the Jobsworth Awards, and escalations will ensue as tempers flare.

The government's actions are tearing this country, and families apart, and it needs to stop. It is unacceptable that they are playing russian roulette with people's mental health. It is quite simply disgraceful.

You can see it on the news how different people's opinions are. I'll tell you why there is so much anger...it's just over 3 weeks until Christmas and it appears it 'could' be ruined again. Mainly for those who want to fly abroad with the isolating and costly PCR tests etc. Spain is looking for 10 days isolation for people from UK who want to travel there. This includes those who have been fully vaccinated.

@Cleoriff There is no real scientific debate. Everyone who disagrees with all this messing with people's lives are just all being branded ant-vaxxers and conspiracy theorists. There are world renowned scientists, virologists etc that are suddenly being told they are wrong by people who have no clue what they are talking about.

Thats the problem with scientists these days, it is their singular opinion and nothing else is relevant. If you try to present a different aspect, you are wrong no matter what evidence you have because its not the consensus. And that consensus happens to be whatever the mainstream media decide which facts they want to present and which to omit from the public. Peer review? Oh is that your grant funding going out the door along with your career isn't it?

The timing and worse is way too coincidental with Christmas, booster shots and the talk about Vax passports. What perfect way to ensure compliance to introduce them by presenting yet another variant that needs to be under control. Just like last year when at the last moment after sitting on it for days, Dancing Diwali Drakeford decided immediately that Christmas in Wales is cancelled based on a few cases. That magically disappeared from view in the New Year.  And guess what, the opportunity arises for it to be repeated this year. Oooh perhaps another pointless firebreak might be happening. 

I can't take this Omnicron naming seriously anyway. My mind keeps changing it to Omnicron Alpha or Omnicron Delta like a Transformers character.

At the moment though it's only just wearing a mask, for me that's not a problem.

I've given up on watching and listening to any news programs anymore, as it's all just contradictory nonsense. There is not such a thing as unbiased news anymore, and the BBC are just dreadful imo.

None of the mainstream media report the real news. They are all government mouth pieces.

The logic behind these re-imposed requirements for masks make absolutely no sense.

Cloth masks, as most people use are not going to stop a microscopic virus particles. The government and it's useless other-agenda advisers know this, most intelligent people know this, but still choose to accept this ridiculous rule.

The whole hysteria of this omicron (moronic), otherwise known as Omicron B (acronym of No Crimbo coincidentally), is that it evades the vaccines.

So what do the government do? They up the roll out of the booster vaccines and up the propaganda and coercion.

Where's the sense in that? To fight something they use the one thing we are told doesn't work?

The logic behind this baffles me, it quite literally makes no sense.

It's like saying to jeweler "Cut these diamonds with this butter knife. It won't work but do it anyway".

All of this lack of logic is to me proof that this government haven't a clue what it is doing and are simply carrying out the orders of their paymasters. 

None of this makes sense, and I really fear for our society. In less than 2 years, these people have successfully ripped up society as we know it and it will never be the same again.

If anyone seriously thinks those in power are just going to suddenly relinquish the powers they have over ever aspect of our lives, they are sadly mistaken. 

Learning to live with it is getting back to normal. Accepting it is around, but also accepting the fact that the global mortality rate for those infected with Covid in this country is LESS THAN 0.1%. To put this in context, the mortality rate of Ebola is anywhere between 25% & 90% (source https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/ebola-virus-disease). 

So why is covid being treated like it is going to wipe out the human race? When it quite clearly is not. 

What is happening here and all over the world, are crimes against humanity. We need a second Nuremberg trial to bring every complicit in allowing this to happen to justice.

Well, but doing nothing and people dying of that families rips them apart FOREVER.

And as you can see by the rising numbers (we have an incedence of 442,9 today over here in Germany - aswell as all other countries are rising again) - personal resposibility doesn't work - sadly.

Where's the proof that Covid is this deadly plague that's going to wipe out the human race, as it is being treated? Nowhere, because it is not the case.

Locking up & restricting the entire global population (minus those elitists in power who just carry on doing what they want) for a virus with a 99.8%+ survival rate makes absolutely ZERO sense.

The vaccines (or gene therapies as they actually are) only target specific spike proteins associated with specific variants of the virus. This is how influenza is treated too.

But have we forced/coerced the entire global population into having a flu vaccine every year?

No we have not.

Why? Because it is widely regarded as a virus that only seriously affects a very small proportion of the population (elderly and clinically vulnerable), and the rest of the population have their own body's natural defenses which are capable of fighting the virus off without the need for a vaccine. Natural immunity will always trump vaccine immunity because our bodies will attack the entire virus, giving much longer lasting immunity.

Given what we now know about Covid, the exact same thing applies. ALL of us will have been exposed to covid by now, so why haven't we all been seriously ill in hospital?

I just find it staggering that previously intelligent people just cannot see all this (or choose not to). The evidence is plain to see if you don't just listen to the propaganda and lies coming from government and the main stream media and look at the stats.

It is sad that some people die of this, and I do feel for their families, I really do. But isn't that the same with  deaths from all other causes (far greater numbers than covid).

People, friends and family, are turning against each other over this. Treating their fellow citizens with disdain just because they believe in their own body to fight this thing, or don't wear a mask because they know they are useless.

Do people really think the way of life right now is living? 

I certainly don't.
