Hi guys,
I'm very happy to reintroduce the community spotlight to the forums. This spotlight is on @Curr946 who has been a member since November 2014 and has quickly become a regular face on the forums.
We have asked a selection of questions that Curr946 has kindly answered below.
What’s your name and where are you from?
Richard is the name, but often referred to as Ricardo (not sure why but it’s stuck). I'm living in Fife Scotland but originally from “ChinaToon” in Falkirk.
Favourite thing about the forum/what do you like best?
The people, most of you guys are welcoming and helpful. There are some really useful guides on here created by the members, for the members. I really enjoy taking part in “Try the Tech” and hope my reviews are useful.
Why did you join the 02 forums?
Nosiness, was looking about the O2 site and spotted the community link - I was lurking in the shadows for a while before I started to post.
Apple, Android or Windows?
Eh… Well I think 99.9% of you guys can figure this one out lol. I am a big on anything Microsoft, currently using a Lumia 950, but had many other Lumia models in the past.
Favourite movie/TV show/actor?
Knight Rider. Come on, who doesn’t want a self-driving talking car? But no, I have a wide range of favourite movies and TV shows. At the moment I’m watching the Walking Dead, the Black List, Arrow, the Flash, Supernatural, Suites and Elementary. And I’ve just now realised why I don’t get to bed until the small hours.
Do you have any pets?
Well, I have a wife… and four small people who will grow up to be wife’s.
Cats or dogs which is better?
I much prefer dogs, most will show unwavering loyalty to their owner. Cats on the other hand will bring their owners lovely gifts, such as half eaten mince.
What is your zombie apocalypse plan?
RUN!... and if that doesn’t work well: if you can’t beat them, join them.
Favourite meal?
Pizza… with peperoni and stuff crust. Mmmmm stuff crust! Where’s my phone?
Future developments in mobile tech your looking forward to?
Well, I think we have hit a point where phones are thin enough, processors are quick enough, and screens are sharp enough. What we really need to develop now is better battery technology. Bring back the days when you charged once a week.
Hobbies besides mobile?
Besides work and family? In the limited spare time I have, I like to tinker with cars. I am into old school Fords, Audi's and Beemer’s. I also mess around building PCs and playing with various other technologies. The XboX one is my baby!
Great stuff thanks Curr946!
