Having just bought a Blu Ray player (yes, I know I'm a few years behind, but....) I was wondering what films you guys have got on Blu Ray that really show off it's full potential....?

Black hawk down and saving private Ryan are possibly the best ones I own. (Remastered versions)

Best orginal blu ray movie I have is avatar.

Side note saving private Ryan on blu ray with 7.1 DD is a match made in heaven:)

LoTR and Avatar are great on blue ray. What did you have before, MI5? Just a normal DVD player?

District 9 looks brilliant on Blu-Ray MI5.

Also, whilst it's pure popcorn viewing, Transformers does too.

Yea, good point Toby, didn't think of that one.

Stuart, is that movie itself any good? I haven't seen transformers since I was 8 or something grin

It's good in the way that the film looks & the graphics, action & sound but the story is mainly just the same as the other two each side looking for a particular object & trying to destroy each other whilst megatron appears to be controlling the whole thing but there is always something bigger than megatRon running the whole game

Just out of interest has anyone had the luxury of experiencing 4k or UHDTV?
