From last year they were Sleeping Beeuties 2018 to
This year 2019 again these little kind and sweet bees have caught me unaware and when I opened
the sleeping box there were a few anxious looking faces! So up went the boxes sharpish
and they were put on top to feel the fresh air and off they flew ~ they'll be back always
to the same spot they first remember.
These are the boxes facing South in the hot sun.
This is a box with an emerging bee under the release box top.
Wildlife have no respect for photographers!

Nature:
Saw one Cabbage White butterfly amongst the Rose Bay Willowherb wildflowers on
the railway verges whilst on a train today ... these butterflies used to be commonly seen

BEES:
Hello @TallTrees ... in the Oxfam window I saw an insect hotel from The Eden Project ... the tubes were made of wood & were roughly finished off ... would this roughness affect the bees at all ?

I have seen a total of 4 cabbage whites in my garden....generally they tend to stay away when you have cats, who can jump and capture.
I have been presented with many moths, and baby birds this year.
Gizmo learnt a lesson early in life about wasps though. He keeps well away from those after being stung badly in his mouth one year.
