From last year they were Sleeping Beeuties 2018 to
This year 2019 again these little kind and sweet bees have caught me unaware and when I opened
the sleeping box there were a few anxious looking faces! So up went the boxes sharpish
and they were put on top to feel the fresh air and off they flew ~ they'll be back always
to the same spot they first remember.
These are the boxes facing South in the hot sun.
This is a box with an emerging bee under the release box top.
Wildlife have no respect for photographers!

I'm very pleased @TallTrees
Love watching them going in and out - little ginger coloured ones are Mason Bees, right?

BUTTERFLY (at last)
This is called The Gatekeeper ~ emerges for mid Summer ~ Pretty little butterfly
I could only get this with it's wings closed and I tried but no wings open.

I do hope so @MI5
I have been a bit worried because I haven't seen many
butterflies about. The Peacock Butterfly over-winters
under the shed. I have seen absolutely gorgeous moths,
I disturbed one sleeping it flew off and that "eagle" eyed
robin nearly got it

hello @TallTrees ... Bumble BEES
If I may, I have a question for you please ?
Why do big bumble bees apparently fly into & hit window panes ... then fly off seemingly unhurt ?
I am quite high up the canalside of my house ... there are no flowers about that high, only moss on the Yorkstone roof

Must try that line some time, @MI5
BTW, @TallTrees, spotted this in our local Lidl weekly offers rag, thought I'd post it in a vaguely relevant forum:
