I’ve just had a call from a gentleman saying that is from O2, offering me a 40% discount and asking for my memorable name or the last four numbers of my bank account. Is this someone trying to commit fraud?

Yes it's a well known scam

Don't give any details, especially one time pass codes sent via sms.

Finally block the number
