The automatic one drive back up is handy, Cortana is getting better ( apart from the posh totty voice UK users are stuck with! )
Spec ways when the 930 was announced I thought that'll be a great phone to upgrade to when it's superseded by a newer model (Making them more afforable) Then I read that Glance notifications (One of the best features of my 620 / 925) isn't possible on the 930. I'm sure some won't find this an issue but it would be for me.
UK Cortana, pah. Won't sing for me, doesn't make witty replys! So dull compared to the US version I tried for a while when Miss Posh Totty wasn't available. To be honest its not something I'd use much anyway, well other than for amusement purposes

I find the double tap to wake makes up for the lack of glance feature.

Yeah it's definately an improvement over the original WP8, but my 620 / 925 have double tap and Glance. Simply taking the phone out of my pocket and not having to press or tap anything to see notifications and time is a neat feature. Ho hum, if it doesn't have it all the complaining in the world isn't going to change things
It does however look like a mighty impressive phone in every other way, enjoy.

The job I do I doubt any smart phone would last to long unless it had some kind of extra protection, while at work I try & leave the phone in the top of the tool box or the desk in the office, I don't really want it in my pocket if im laying on the floor.
My 930 has the Nokia case, Skinomi screen protector & its insured via my bank.
I cleaned the oily finger prints of the screen earlier, one of the reasons i've put a screen protector on.

HELLLO ALL,
HI @Anonymous thank but I wouldn't say i'm an expect, just a Nokia addict. I would LOVE to test drive one of these along side my Lumia 1520 becasue it is essentially the same phone but with a few less features. If anyone knows a way I could get one, maybe @Toby , I would do a side by side comparison.
Here are my thoughts based on what I have played with in the shop. I love the design and I like the way Nokia is going with the blocky design. I think this looks more professional than my 1520 and my current (see one of my other threads for reason why) 635. The screen is FANTASTIC. I love the way the colours of the tiles POP and the idea of transparent tiles works really well on this screen.
However I wouldn't replace my 1520 with it for the following reasons 1) No SD card slot and only 32GB of inbuilt memory. 2) The screen technology isn't capable of doing Glance Screen which is something I really love on my 1520. 3) Essentailly I already have this phone as in the 1520. If three wasn't a problem would i get it dispite the decrease in screen size, YES! I love my big phones as it compensates for my lack of......, but I could easily use this phone's screen size knowing the quality it has.
Also there is one other things, this is essentially the 1520 which was out around 7 months ago (correct me if i'm wrong I can't be bothered to research the stats). So this basically means buying a 7 month other phone with a new body? This isn't too bad but what else has nokia got in store? 830 is looking good but there must be another flagship phone other than the recently cancelled McClaren.
Anyway if anyone can think of a way of me getting one Id be happy to do a full comparison/review even video it is i can get the right tools.
PS. I've only used Cortana and live folders on my 635 so can't comment on the 930. I will put a review on my 635 thread at the end of the week
