o2 PAC code is invalid on other network

Anonymous
Not applicable

I received a pac code from o2 as I am transferring to Orange. PAC code is correct format for example TEL123456.

When Orange use this code to try and port my number they are saying it is invalid and not associated to the number I am trying to port and there is nothing they can do.

So back to o2 I go and they say that it is valid and associated to the number I am trying to port and there i nothing I can do. they are saying they cant generate a new one until this one runs out, which also means that I have t continue to pay o2 until I can use a pac code. what happens if in 23 days time when the current pac code runs out I have the same issue again.

This is ridiculous and once again the customer is piggy in the middle.

Appalling customer service!!!

The first two PACs didn't work, hence reason for the third one being issued.

The account in question was a business account with 4 numbers. The first PAC didn't work for any of the numbers, the second PAC worked for three of them, but the fourth number required another one.

The numbers were moving from O2 to Vodafone.

Fair enough would appear business accounts are done differently.

As far as I know and appears to be the general consensus you can only get one PAC per 30 days for a private contract.
This allows you to transfere one number.

To the original poster have you tried a second time?
Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you’re wrong. So Ive been told wink
