We live in Preston Paignton, we have had would you believe no signal since we think May 22 2021!  02 have told us thet have taken down a mast and getting a replacement site ready, they have told us they will update us on the 18 July! (message came a month ago18/6/21) Can anyone explain why this is taking so long we are not a 3rd world country or is that what 02 thinks this is, a service we should accept from them?. Does or can anyone know what the problem/hoid up is  in TQ31EY we are fed up having to walk up the road trying to find a bar on our phones to make a call !

cheers Roger

@DODGER1

Many reasons why it takes so long:

Permission from the landowner to access the site,
Permission to do the work from your local council
Parts and getting things in place to do the work
It could be one of the Cornerstone masts, which gets a bit more complicated.

Working in IT it can takes weeks and months to get things in place to get things replaced even with the best will in the world.
Throw in the current pandemic and everything has slowed down.

Also mobile coverage is not guaranteed and faults do occur, as with any technology.
Check your T&C's its all in their.

O2 wont also tell you what the hold up is either.

@DODGER1 It's not the 18th of July yet, so you don't know if O2 will come good on their promise. There are many reasons why these things take so long, and O2 normally don't give timelines for repairs. Because you've had a lack of service for so long you can call customer service and see if they will offer you a goodwill gesture to ease the pain, but there's no guarantee that they will.

Call 202 from your mobile (if you can get a signal) or 0800 032 1402 from any phone.
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Best time to call is 8 am.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
