Solved: how doI delete aps?

Hi

Ihave a Samsung smart phone - can anyone out there tell me how to delete unwanted aps - thank you

Settings > applications manager > select the app you want rid of and press uninstall.

Some apps are factory installed and cannot be deleted. If you don't see an uninstall button when you go to a specific app you won't be able to get rid of it. It's something I wish would be changed about Android.

It's not a good idea to allow carte blanch removal of apps. Some are required by the OS to work correctly and removal would render the phone useless.....

I agree there are a few on my Htc one I wish I could take off bit stupid that we are forced to keep them

Apps like facebook are not core android, they are added afterwards by the manufacturer or network.... you can't blame android for that

Okay, I understand that, but if that's the case, why are apps that may not be wanted installed without the end user having the ability to uninstall them? I presume you could uninstall them if your phone was rooted, but I'm not that technically proficient to attempt it.

You can install any apps if rooted - even critical ones... I assume manufacturers and networks get a revenue by adding bloatware from the likes of facebook etc to annoy the hell out of people

Yes, I figured that, and I'm sure you're right about manufacturers and networks getting paid to add bloatware.
