I'm not aware O2 are the worst company in the world! I can think of a lot more who don't live up to my expectations!
I agree, customer services have deteriorated but perhaps I'm lucky that I haven't had to contact them recently.
Add to that, there are many clever people on here I can ask for help and advice should I need it.

As @Cleoriff has said, O2's Customer Service can leave a lot to be desired. However, in my personal view, it is not really any better or worse than the Customer Service of the other UK mobile network operators.
You only need to take a look at the Community forums of the other networks to see what I mean ; they all have issues, although the topical problems do vary from network to network.
