unfortunately, it's very difficult to stop your details being passed on.

 

If people are verifying your number when you reply STOP, we've got no chance.

I thought that was common knowledge? You can forward all these kinds of texts to 7726. Your mobile operator will take the appropriate action which results in fines etc as in the case in question.

Thanks for the number 7726. That wil be useful.

Have you noticed more so these days, how we are getting spam texts from normal looking numbers...rather than shortcodes.

It's even harder to detect.
