3G/EDGE/GPRS were down only briefly last night here in Manchester, but MMS has been down since yesterday.

I sent a mms to someone and asked them to let me know once they got it. I knew it would be back on once they recieved it.

I wouldn't really called a tweet four hours ago 'the latest' but it's better than nothing. I tweeted back yesterday to ask why we could not be text alerted to this and all I got was that it's not something they think they will do.

How very customer centric of them.

Abroad now, still no access to MMS and each time I try and send one whether it goes or not I'm racking up a data charge - so if MMS and Web are down - who the hell is charging me for the data!

The problem is that the MMSs won't go to begin with. I was trying to send one yesterday and it kept trying and re-trying until it gave up and told me 'packet data connection not available'. So if the MMS never leaves the sender's phone, it will never get to the recipient anyway.
