Hiya. I have a Samsung Galaxy Mini GT S5570. Could anyone tell me why it keeps switching itself off. I think it might be because its down to about 20% left on the battery and its being clever and saving itself incase i have to make an emergency call grin Does anyone know? Thanks folks. D

Is it only when the battery is low?
Phones these days use Lithium Ion batteries which can be damaged if the charge drops too low so they're designed to turn themselves off in order to protect them.
If it is only when the battery is low then that's probably your reason. Lithium Ion batteries don't have the 'memory' that old batteries had so you don't need to run them down before charging.
If it is turning itself off when there is still plenty of charge then there is an issue. You could try a full reset, update the firmware, or send it off for repair.

Thanks for the reply.
I will pay more attention to how much battery is left when i recharge it, if it's always about 20% i'll assume it's just what the phone does. If it keeps doing it with lots of charge left, i'll take it back to the shop.
Thanks again for taking the time to reply. Have a good day, hope the sun is shining where you are. D
