PAC Code Transfer

I can keep my existing number using the PAC Code Transfer process, which completes the next working day.
The new provider is sending me a SIM card which has its own number (different from my existing number).
I am told that I will need to replace my SIM card with the new one.
How does it actually work?
1. Are calls to my existing number automatically redirected to the new SIM number?

2. Will calls to the new SIM number arrive to my phone?

(My transfer is still in-progress)

If you are moving away from O2 to a new provider you should get a text with the date of the transfer.

I would recommend keeping the O2 SIM in place until it disconnects then putting the new SIM in place.

Eventually your present number should fully transfer over

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Porting process explained here Guide: Migration & porting into O2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
