12 hours I'm never getting back.

I appreciate that DHL is largely to blame for this but a quick search of these forums shows quite clearly that the "next day delivery" promise o2 makes its customers is often not upheld because of problems with DHL.
You're going to raise #### with them? Hmm ok.
Anyway as you've already said yourself if your delivery has left o2 it's now going to be dhl's fault if it's late etc etc. If you contact o2 they'll track your parcal with dhl and if they need to will contact them to chase things up.
If you think dhl are bad imagine if your phone was being sent with the shambles that is Royal Mail?
There's no point shouting at the operator at o2, it's not their fault and you'll probably find if you're courteous they'll be more inclined to help you.
So I think o2 has a lot to answer for, too. That they've encountered countless incidences of delayed delivery yet continue to entrust their shipments and the trust of their customers to this shambolic outfit speaks volumes.
I've been with o2 for years and I'm told that I'm a high-spend private customer (if you'd seen my bills you'd agree!) and this is far from the first time that I've been let down by deliveries from o2.
Would I prefer them to use Royal Mail? Heck yes! They do what they say they are going to do almost all the time. I've never had a delayed delivery that has been Royal Mail's fault.
I will start on the phone by being pleasant and courteous but if an offer of compensation isn't almost immediately forthcoming, I fear I'll become more irate. 12 wasted hours sitting home waiting for this deliver is NOT something I'm happy to let slide.
