Losing Credit For No Reason!

Hello there.
I am continually losing credit on my phone every day for no reason at all. I have a tarrif which pays out 5 pounds a month for me to send txts/phone call to any of my 10 02 numbers i have chosen.
The real problem is that when i turn my internet off at night(which is being connected via wi-fi) the internet then automatically connects without me doing anything, when the little world pops up in the top left corner baring in mind that my wi-fi is switched off. I just think its updating my phone and go to sleep. When i wake up in the morning i get the pop up message saying something along the lines of 'You can use up to £1 credit today on the internet' but i never go on the net unless i was connected to my wi-fi.
It has been doing this for the past week now and took about 35p off a day, now i only have 4 pound left and my tarrif runs out on the 5th December and i needed that money to get my next months tarrif but now i will have to fork out another 10 pound just so i can get that.. Money is tight around here as well so it's really frustrating me and i want to get this fixed or else i'm considering changing providers.

Changing provider won't help, because if you don't stop the phone connecting to the mobile internet, you will be charged by the other provider and some charge more than O2.
What you need to do is make sure that your handset only connects via wifi.

You can either do what Adam suggested above and delete the network internet settings (if I remember right its under Profiles on a Sony.
Alternatively, you can go through the phone and make sure that what is connecting is disabled when you aren't using wi-fi.
The other alternative is to change to a tariff that includes data, you can keep your bolt-on. Then you'll be able to enjoy all the features of the phone.
