Hi

Just paid off a Device Plan on one of my O2 lines and got it diconnected. During the whole thing the Retentions Team fella asked me the usual "what are your reasons for leaving" thing. Told him in all honesty that was dissapointed by customer service, complaint handling etc. His reply was: "But we won an Ofcom award for..." (whatever the award was, can't remember now).

So I'm sitting here trying to understand how on earth that award thing was meant to eliminate my dissapointment of what I class as an extremely poor service that I had to experience :)....

They kept the O2-IE forum so we can only hope they do the same here.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Both EE and Vodafone have forums, so I think they'd be foolish to discard one of the best communities wink

Mind you, it'll be interesting to see how giffgaff fits into their overall business plan.

I don't see how it can tbh.

It's a payg that is more expensive than their own Smiley Frustrated

My experience with O2 customer services is probably the worst i've ever experienced (maybe apart from Samsung direct).

Been with EE for nearly a year and have to say their customer service has been exceptional.

You can only speak as you find. Very had to contact EE three times and I have no complaint.

@jonsie I think thats the thing you can only go on personal experience.
Ive had a few issues with the local 3 mast and initially i had to jump through hoops to get them to actually check the mast but now they must have it noted that I usually have done all the standard tests before ring them and they go straight to checking and twice they have quickly refunded me and the kids contracts to compensate and have always followed up on call back so I am looking forward to the take over, with the one concern to the staff of giffgaff who Ive met many times and I would be very upset if they didn't at least get absorbed into the new company it would be a mild inconvenience to me to loose gg but a big blow for staff to loose jobs.
