Any plans for O2 to offer this level of interaction with Google Assistant?

Try saying "OK Google talk to Vodafone" if you have Google Assistant on your android phone!

Anything like this in the pipeline from O2, @Marjo or @EmilieT ?

Ok watched the video. Intriguing. I think sometimes the personal touch works just as well. Despite the number pressing.

Certainly I can see the advantages of it though.

I have - but as a lifelong O2 customer, I have no Vodafone account to link to my Google Assistant..

Actually I just asked Google to call customer services. And it dialled the number on my behalf.

Mine will do that, but "OK Google talk to Vodafone" gives me another voice and this:

Interesting stuff @pgn! I don't know anything about this myself but can check if there's any info we could share. slight_smile Would you be using it yourself? slight_smile

@anticpated what do you think would be some of the advantages? slight_smile

It resolve customer queries quicker like remaining tariff like data and minutes. Although the o2 app can provide much of this information already this could convenient for some too.

The disadvantages could be security if you are away from the handset and who else could access the data if they type the query in.

As I mentioned in my Community Spotlight, I love the idea of my phone doing stuff for me - this is one of those things, I'd love to see it, use it, have it be the norm...

Anything you can find out would be interesting, @Marjo.

Hey @pgn@anticpated and all, got some information on this - we're not currently working directly on Google Assistant but we are working hard to develop Telefónica’s AURA in the UK. Telefónica is working with third party platforms such as Google Assistant and Microsoft Cortana so stay tuned, and we hope to have more to share in the coming months as things progress and develop! slight_smile
