Android Nougat, Sony list of confirmed devices

Just in case anyone was interested, here is the list of devices that WILL receive Android Nougat:

#Sony Xperia Z3+
Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet,
Sony Xperia Z5,
Sony Xperia Z5 Compact,

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium,
# Sony Xperia X,  
#Sony Xperia XA, 
Sony Xperia XA Ultra
#Sony Xperia X Performance, 
#Sony Xperia X Compact, 
#Sony Xperia XZ. 

Although it has been included far into Dev testing, sadly Xperia Z3 will not receive the update. This is due to stricter controls by Google at a hardware level and unfortunately Snapdragon 801 series is not supported.

Xperia Tablet Z2

(Z1,Z series ended at lollipop)

It's now live on the OTA server too, so go to settings, about device, software update to update over the air.

Merry Christmas to Xperia X and Xperia X Compact owners.
Nougat build 34.2.A.0.266 just went public for those devices, woohoo.
Obviously it's a gradual rollout but I fully expect it to reach these shores within a few days like the XZ rollout did.
Some great work by Sony's testing team this update.
