re-network problems

I have an 02 micro sim (as anyone knows) and as an idiot, I bought without understanding, as I'm disabled and have problems digesting the info on a page as there is so much to read and comprehend, (although get there in the end) so I have My Bt internet provider, for my broadband, and windows handles my security on my network ,win/7, and to add to the mix' I now have an IPHONE 5 , THAT i BOUGHT outright, because in my car the conection is for iphone 4 , so for security safety  I bought phone to connect hands free and I thought for my music , but it's turned into a nightmare, a phone I am being constantly charged for , that I rarely use apart from radio bbc, and no matter what I do I can't use it as it constantly cuts out, and I can't send texts, and from home my phone line is constanly hissing, (so there is conflicting signals, I think) now there's a problem for you lot

Hi Alexander,

I will try and deal with each issue in turn:

Your car should still connect to an iPhone 5 if it connects to an iPhone 4. It may not have all of the same functionality, but it should at least let you make and recieve calls. I am assuming it is over Bluetooth (I have the same technology in my Fiat). I have been able to make and recieve calls from my last 3 phones in the same car. What exactly isnt working when you are in the car?

What do you mean when you say the phone cuts out? Does it switch off, or do calls just drop? How strong is your cellular signal when this happens?

What happens when you try and send a text that fails?

Your phone line isn't linked to your mobile phone at all. if it constantly hissing it means you have noise on the line and you will need to contact BT about this. They will fault find from the exchange to your house and they will fix any problems here for free. However if they determine that the problem lies within your home they will charge you to resolve it.

I hope this helps somehow, but look forward to you giving us more information slight_smile

Hi'  papadug, yes my problems are as much with BT but 02 keeps locking my sim and it says network not available, but it's because I'm in my home and BT gives me access to wifi and will not allow any other netwok, and 02 keeps charging me  even though i do not use my phone and when i try it says switch off your WIFI and switch back on, but when I do this there is no network, but  i switch on my data ,and am charged a £1, and I can't get a netwok or send a text, and so my sim is locked, is there a way round this please.

Oh and yes it works in my car, but my car allows the connection to o2, but apple said my connection was corrupt and I have only now just had my IPHONE re-joined, so I'm not really worried about that it works fine now (I think as I've not went out, but I'm sure it will)
