So I ordered at 7:45 this morning a slate grey 64gb 5s and the order is still showing as "In Progress"

 

I guess a little patience is in order...

I'm in N.I. and got my confirmation at 7.23am yesterday 😕 But I spoke with O2 last night and they said their info stated that mine was waiting for dispatch however iv no email or update to my order status page to confirm this 😞

I'm in lincoln. When I ordered though it was still in stock but the man told me 3-6 weeks but nothing to confirm any sort of estimate since either by email or on my o2

Ordered two yesterday morning.

 

First was a black 64GB which I started at about 7:50, but didn't finish till about 8:10 thanks to the payment being repeatedly bounced by all the banks and having to wait for the nice robot to call me. She got a despatch note last night and it's arriving on Monday.

 

As soon as hers was done I ordered a white/silver 64GB for myself, which went through pretty much straight away at 8:15ish, but unlike hers my order stated '3-6 weeks' on line for the phone 😞  and is just sat at 'In Progress' in the account.

 

I suspect though that it's the colour difference that helped her rather than the timing, as the 64 black is still showing as in stock today (Saturday).

 

Couple of things to note, when looking on My O2, dont just look at the summary page. My wife's is still showing as 'In Progress', but when I click through it has despatch details as well.

 

Secondly, the '3-6 weeks' estimate from O2 is just a guess. Apple haven't actually told them (or anyone else) when they are getting more phones, it could be next week, it could be next month. It's also likely to vary by colour. So keep your hopes up that it's sooner rather than later!

Obviously no one wants to wait but I'd be happy to if I were given a rough date to loom forward to but it seems like everyone is hearing different things and no one is being kept in the loop!

Mine arrived this morning. BUT...

 

...it had been crushed, the box is broken with bits sticking out, the mains plug pins are bent, the phone itself has been dented and the screen doesn't work properly. I have just spent half an hour on an online chat session, and it took quite some persuasion before O2 would agree to send a replacement on Monday, and they really didn't want to refund the extra I paid for Saturday delivery.

 

I hope the replacement is in better condition!

You'd think given the cost of an iphone and the lack of careful handling by couriers that they would package it a bit better so if it were to be man handled it would stand a better chance!

I work in a shop that takes myhermes drop off and the couriers just throw them around willynilly with no regard for whether they are "fragile" or not!

That is truly dreadful - it looks like it has been through the wars - for an expensive item like a phone, the carrier should be really taken to task for this.

I ordered 16gb Gold and got conf email at 8:29 yesterday. When I ordered, the info page for the phone just before picking tariff said will be delivered by Tues Sept 24, and underneath said could take 3-6 weeks. However, now when you go to the same page it only says 3-6 weeks. So I'm hoping maybe there was a window open for the few that they had in stock. Mine was also an upgrade order.

Iv just been told this regarding my order placed at 7.23AM for a Gold 16GB iPhone 5s
Anny: i see that your order ha been succesfully placed
Anny: It is still awaiting despatch from our end
Anny: this hasn't been despatch as the order is currently running out of stock
Anny: once it is available in our stocks it will despatched to you on priority
Seems a bit unfair considering I placed and received confirmation of my order so soon after release! 😞 ontop of the fact that the phone remained in stock for a considerable time after I received my confirmation!
