Solved: sony xperia z2

Had my xperia z2 about a year on two year contract phone no longer recognises sim any ideas anybody

Try a new sim first.
You can get one immediately from an O2 shop and they will do a sim swap for you.
If not that it's faulty and will need to go in for repair.
We would recommend going directly to Sony rather than O2's repairers.

Would just like to add, if you got the Z2 on release day, your warranty expired 6 days ago.
