i am from egypt 
and i bought uk o2 sim card 
and it worked for 2 days then it stopped suddenly 
and showed to my ( emergency calls only ) and data also was working 
then stopped 
i want to know what happened

I would also check your postcode here for any network issues http://status.o2.co.uk/

Also, where did you buy the phone you are using and can you try the sim card in another phone (an o2 shop will check this for you) as it may be that your phone is barred from UK networks.
