Cannot receive text on my Samsung Galaxy ace any ideas please

Check your postcode here for network faults http://status.o2.co.uk

You could try cleaning the sim card and rebooting the phone. 

If possible try your sim card in another phone to rule out either a sim issue or a handset problem. 

If you have no other phone the O2 store are normally happy to help and they can provide another sim free of charge if necessary.
