S4 Delayed?

Hey all.

As usual a complaint has brought a new member to the forum. I do apologise about that.

Being a bit of a tech nut I've weighed up the benefits of my 3rd HTC in a row, with it's consistently poor battery life but overall great experience against the plastic, but awesome UI of the S4.

I really liked the S2 so I decided I'd give it a go, it's got loads of great features I'd never use  which sounds appealing to me.

I went in earlier this week to my local O2 and preordered the S4 and I was told I'd get it in store on Friday (today) and I just had to wait for a text. I called O2 yesterday to see if they had any news on the preorder as tomorrow is the only morning I could really take a couple of hours off as I'm busy working Saturday and Sunday.

They had no idea about the order and told me that the store runs like a franchise and they don't share information. What? I was assured by the store when I preordered that I'd recieve it today as they hadn't had many pre orders so I trusted that information.

I call up this morning and no, they don't have any phones and they 'SHOULD' get them tomorrow. This is one of the biggest tech launches in the calender year, how can they delay it by a day? 

Did anyone else get this from their local store? I guess I should be happy that I'm going to get it tomorrow (if I can get away) as I read that many wont be getting there's for a week or so, but still, if you're guaranteed something and then they don't deliver it's annoying whatever the case is.

I preordered mine on the 11th of April and got it as promised on the 26th. I think i was just lucky this time but to be honest i got the galaxy s2 on time as well. And i live in Northern Ireland so you would think i would be the last to get it on time

Im from N.I as well , pre-ordered on the 6th April and have to wait another two weeks apparently, looks like Im the unlucky one 😞 lol or I'm praying o2 customer service are wrong as they usually are

When I asked about stock I was told 2 weeks , why the hell won't they just tell us the truth !!

YES its Dispatched thank god was told two weeks yesterday so the girl was wrong soo happy !!!!!

Mine : Fast track Upgrade, Black Mist , Ordered 6th April , O2 UK over the phone. Got no text or email about it found out as you seen from the o2 support chat and was provided the tracking from the chat so may be worth a check for people who were similar to me to check your recent bill and get on to online chat , when I phoned yesturday I was told two weeks so the girl was an idiot and wrong !

Have pre ordered S4 by telephone 5th April - still no news!
Today in O2 shop Castle Court Center Belfast could have got one over the counter although with less advantageous package
Is it right for shops to get preference over pre-orders?

I got mine yesterday 30th April at 6pm ordered 16th over the CS. When I called CS on that morning they asked me what I have order? Galaxy S4 White. Surprise at 6pm was black version. What is the chance to get white, will I wait another month? No message from o2 or email either. They told me that I will receive tracking number 2 days before they deliver phone. So not only promise of delivery in release date was pure lie. Anyway happy at least what I got.

I was in a shopping centre and I asked in the O2 shop if they had them in and they did, in White only. I got one there and then and then cancelled my order in the other store.

The original store really could work on their customer service. Or perhaps they could just get some enthusiasm and personality. Again, it's like I'm bothering them by asking them to cancel it. I was asked to wait and while I waited they chatted amongst themselves. I asked them to sort out my order now or I'll get it cancelled with an email to head office with your names included in my greivance.

The other store was excellent. 

Quite a poor experience. I got a discount in any case so I guess it makes up for it.

Just been on the phone to O2.

Ordered last Friday 26th and have been waiting due to out of stock, just called up for an update and been told that they will be dispatching mine tomorrow by UK MAIL.

Do UK Mail deliver on Saturday because Monday is a bank holiday and dont want my S4 sitting in a warehouse till Tuesday 😕
