OnePlusOne on O2?

Considering paying off the rest of my device plan and just buying a OnePlusOne.

Will O2's 4G frequency work with the OnePlusOne?

o2 has bought 800mhz band 20 the european standard

Check the specs on the phone.

These are the bands it apparently supports. Doesn't look like it is supported

Depending on how long you have before your device is paid off, and if you want to stay with O2, you might want to hang on a bit longer, as the One Plus Two is in the works:

I've seen those for sale on eBay for a tenner, and know someone who bought one and used it.

Also if you look on android central some nice folk are giving them away every now and then

I've heard this too and I was going to post it as a rumor but since your saying it too, it must be true.
