I am currently in China using an HTC One M8 which I had on an O2 contract when I was in the UK. O2 helped me unlock/unlatch the phone before i came out here, but using a China Mobile 4G sim I'm unable to pick up 4G at all. In the Mobile Data option of Settings, the only option is the 'Disconnected' option. Does anyone have any idea how I can get 4G on my phone in this situation?

I've just been on to HTC online support and have been advised the One M8 does not pick up 4G in China. As I switched from O2 monthly to pay and go, had my phone unlocked by O2 and had to pay off the phone up front, as was the O2 Chat advice on my move to China. Do I have a valid complaint here? Who should I contact?

I wouldn't think you have any comeback at all to be honest. The phone was sold for use in the UK

it would have been nice to have been told by O2 that what I wanted wasn't possible rather than encouraging me to pay off the phone!
