Paying so much for a phone, I would want my chosen colour. I went for the black but in fairness I white would have been fine by me. Both my Note 2 and S3 are white so I thought I would have a change.
As for cancelling and reordering, the risk you take is supply and delivery. You only have to look at iphone thread with people waiting over a month. Obviously there won't be the same shortage but it may be worth calling again to see if you get a guaranteed colour.
There must be someone who can confirm your choice.

Hello all just joined as I have been lurking but feel so compelled to gripe about O2. I am a Note 2 user 1 week out of contract and keen to upgrade via O2 to the Note 4. Yesterday I walked into the Cannon Street branch to ask if thy had stock to get the response "oh the note 4 I think that is out in December"!. So I called two other city branches that had stock and pricing but only white. I wanted black so they advised calling CS. So I started a web chat with CS. 35 mins later someone came online to tell me they had no specifications for the note 4 and that samsung had not given O2 any information on the phone or launch dates!!!!!! I told them they were selling them. the response...I understand your frustration but we have no infomation about the note 4 from samsung but am sure we will launch this phone in the future.
Now I am tempted to jump to EE. I had always been told O2 for good CS and poorer signal coverage and EE for great coverage but poor CS. If this is good CS then maybe EE physically hit you?!?!
So this morning I see availability and pricing buit when going through the upgrade route the site says "coming soon".
Why are we all trying so hard to give a company money, surely this is wrong.

I can only suggest you try calling them, webchat isn't good for upgrading anyway in my opinion. It's all a bit pathetic at the moment!

Well my "expected delivery" date has gone back to Nov 7th now, but on the bright side I have received this from Samsung......
Thank you for pre-ordering your Galaxy Note 4.
Due to overwhelming demand for the Note 4, the production of the Gold Note 4 is taking longer than anticipated and these are now expected to ship on the 7th of November. You will still be one of the first to receive a gold model as this is affecting nationwide supply, they will be fresh from our production line.
I am sure you have been waiting patiently and were excited to be receiving this soon. I am sorry for any disappointment this may cause so as an apology I would like to give you a £100 e-store voucher. I hope you can enjoy spending this voucher while you wait.

Well that's a bonus!:smileyhappy:
I noticed they were giving the same voucher to buyers of the Alpha and S5 so at least it's some consolation
