Apps stopped working

A number of my apps have stopped working and now I can't open my email on my phone (Sony Xperia). Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Alanhez, have you managed to get yours working yet? My husband has tried the solution suggested by Cleoriff and everything Google have suggested but nothing. We just don't know what to do.

@Alanhez, @caford2308 have you tried restarting your phone after following the above steps?

Hi all thanks for your help, I undid the latest chrome update and everything seems fine now.
