I suspect as the customer you can start the contract when you want, o2
will guide you through when they need the order to happen to fit in with
your timescales. O2 doesn't seem to make it easy and then refers you to
this area who then tell you to go ...
Have you tried going to an o2 store nearby? I know you really shouldn't
have to if you called them a number of times but you may get better help
face to face. To be honest, if you have access to Facebook its not that
quick and is just another options...
