You also currently have the chance to save up to £72 on selected tariffs. Ends 19 March*

Offering powerful capabilities at a more affordable price iPhone 16e delivers fast, smooth performance and breakthrough battery life, thanks to the industry-leading efficiency of the A18 chip and the new Apple C1, the first cellular modem designed by Apple.

iPhone 16e is also built for Apple Intelligence, the intuitive personal intelligence system that delivers helpful and relevant intelligence while taking an extraordinary step forward for privacy in AI.

The 48MP Fusion camera takes gorgeous photos and videos, and with an integrated 2x Telephoto, it is like having two cameras in one, so users can zoom in with optical quality. When outside of cellular and Wi-Fi coverage, Apple’s ground-breaking satellite features — including Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My via satellite — help iPhone 16e users stay connected and get assistance when it matters most.

Will you be pre-ordering yours? 👀

Please find some useful FAQs below ↘️

Are you going to be stocking the new iPhone 16e range?

More info
Yes. O2 will be ranging the iPhone 16e, which will be available to pre-order from 1pm on Friday 21 February, launching Friday 28 February. We'll have further details on our main shop page, and for Business customers on our O2 Business shop page in the coming days.

Can I use Switch Up on the new iPhone 16e?

More info
The short and simple answer is 'yes', but please see our dedicated Switch Up page for latest information and FAQs as there may be limitations, restrictions or important info that applies to you.

How will your extended warranty work on iPhone 16e?

More info
Our ‘Plus Plans’ (more info here) include an extended 3-year warranty, regardless of tenure. So if for example you pre-order an iPhone 16e and customise your plan length to only 12 months, then you can rest assured that your device will still be under warranty with us for the full three years.

What else do I get with a Plus Plan?

More info

Our Plus Plans include the best of O2. Choose a Plus Plan and get:

  • O2 Switch Up at no extra cost
  • International roaming to 75 countries, including the USA
  • A three-year warranty
  • An Extra on us for up to six months
  • Up to six months' free Apple Services

Do you have any O2 Recycle offers with the new iPhone 16e?

More info
You'll be able to use O2 Recycle as normal to trade in your existing iPhone (or other device) to help offset any costs you may have of upgrading early, which you can do simply by paying off your device plan.

When will I be able to use my O2 Open or student discount on the new iPhone 16e?

More info
O2 Open and Student discount will be available from launch.

A friend/family member works for you. Can I get my friends & family discount?

More info
Friends & Family Discounts will be available as normal. Please discuss with your friend or family member that works for O2 who will be able to give more info and apply for this.

Is the new iPhone 16e eligible for Multisave discounts?

More info
Yes. Find out more about our Multisave discount and how it works here.

Why should I stay with or join O2?

More info

With the new iPhone 16e, plus all our device range on Pay Monthly, we put you in control so that you can design a plan to suit your needs. Here’s why you should join or stay with O2:

  • Spread the balance for up to 36 months to keep the cost down – or choose as little as three months if you want to pay it off quicker
  • Choose how much to pay upfront giving you more freedom and flexibility
  • Pick your data allowance to finish building your customised plan. You can even change it up and down every month if that’s your style
  • Get up to six months of Apple Music, on us
  • Plus Plans available on eligible devices, giving you a three year warranty, roaming at no extra cost in 75 countries, and an O2 Extra for up to 6 months
  • Switch Up is included, allowing you to switch to a new device every 90 days,
  • And don’t forget, with O2 you also get My O2, O2 Priority, first dibs on ticket sales before general release, and more freedom in how/where to buy, and how to get in touch with us should you need to

When will I get my new iPhone 16e?

More info
At launch, stock is always in high demand so we recommend customers pre-order as soon as possible once pre-orders go live. We'll display your estimated delivery timeframe at the time of pre-order and that's when we expect to deliver it to you. We’ll email/text you whenever we have an update on your order and this usually won’t be until the day (or evening) before delivery.

Pre-ordering will not guarantee launch day delivery, but will give you the best chance of getting your iPhone as soon as possible

Our customer service teams won't be able to give you an exact delivery date prior to your order being prepared for delivery

I want to upgrade but want to check all my available options

More info
As upgrades are very much account specific and the details can vary from person to person, we'd recommend checking your My O2 app for upgrade options, visit an O2 store, or give our customer services a call. The easiest way however is to check the My O2 app which will let you know your options.

What if I want to upgrade earlier than my upgrade date?

More info
With Custom Plans from O2, you can upgrade at any time by simply paying off the remainder of your device plan agreement. You can off-set much or some of this cost by using O2 Recycle to trade-in your existing device, or use the value of your device to reduce your monthly cost. The option is yours.

If you have a Plus Plan with Switch Up, then you’ll be free to upgrade to the new iPhone 16e once you’ve surpassed 90 days on your current device plan.

Can I select Premium delivery for my new iPhone 16e during pre-order?

More info
No, premium delivery options will not be available from pre-order for Consumer or Business.

I didn’t see an estimated delivery date. What was it?

More info
A. When you start your pre-order journey we display an expected delivery date on the main product page. We know pre-ordering the latest iPhone is always an exciting time but please take note of that delivery estimate, as it’s what we aim to deliver within. After you’ve ordered, the next order update you’ll receive will be when your order is being prepared for delivery, so please be patient and keep an eye open for that update.

How do I stay up to date on my order?

More info
You can keep an eye on your My O2 order status, and we’ll also keep you updated as and when there’s progress with your order. Please note that if we show you an up to 3-week delivery estimate (for example), don’t be alarmed if you don’t receive any updates within that timescale – you’ll only receive an order update once your order progresses.

Will you support 5G and eSIM on the iPhone 16e?

More info

Yes, absolutely! You can find out more about O2 5G, including the locations where 5G is currently live – with more locations being activated regularly.

We launched 5G eSIM in September 2020 and you can request a 5G eSIM in the same way as you would for a 4G one. More details on eSIM here.

Will I be able to unlock the iPhone 16e?

More info
Most of our devices now arrive unlocked – including these new iPhones - but if you receive a device that is locked, you can unlock this free of charge. More info here.

Will it have Wifi and 4G Calling?

More info
The new iPhone 16e range will launch with Wifi and 4G Calling enabled

Can I use an O2 eSIM and a *other network* physical SIM, or vice versa?

More info
Absolutely. You're free to mix and match how you'd like. Want to have an O2 eSIM and be able to use a 'local network' physical SIM when you go on holiday or business trips abroad? Easy. Want to use another networks' eSIM but use a physical O2 one? Done. Or vice versa? Yep, you can do that too.

Can I redeem my O2 Switch Up for the iPhone 16e?

More info
You can redeem O2 Switch Up for the new iPhone 16e if you are eligible.

I don't have Switch Up. How can I get it, and how do I upgrade early?

More info
Switch Up cannot be added part-way through an existing contract, so if this applies to you then you can upgrade early by paying off the remainder of your device plan. Don't worry about the airtime plan - we'll cover that. You can use O2 Recycle to trade in your existing device which may offset much or all of what it'd cost you to pay off your device plan.

How can I use Switch Up to get the iPhone 16e?

More info
If you are eligible to Switch Up, you can head to any O2 store to swap your current phone for a new one. You can find your nearest store by heading to o2.co.uk/storelocator. Or if you’d rather switch by post, just give us a call on 202 or log into My O2 to get started.

If you try to complete your Switch Up via phone or online and this cannot be processed for any reason that isn’t your fault (e.g. due to a technical issue), you may have to go to one of our stores to complete your Switch Up request instead.

Legal Stuff

Monthly price of your Airtime Plan will increase every year from your April 2025 bill by £1.80. Out of bundle charges will increase each year by 5% from 1st April.

O2 Refresh custom plans: Direct purchases only. Pay the cash price for your device or spread the cost over 3 to 36 months (excludes dongles). The device cost will be the same whatever you choose. There may be an upfront cost. You can pay off your Device Plan at any time and choose to keep your Airtime Plan, upgrade it, or leave. If you are in the first 24 months of your Device Plan and you cancel your Airtime Plan you will have to pay the remainder of your Device Plan in full. After 24 months you can keep your Airtime Plan, upgrade it, or end it without affecting your Device Plan.

@Dave-O2 Seeing you are advertising satellite features, will this be enable on O2.

If so, will it be like Visual Voicemail and iPhones only (O2 seem to have given up on Android)

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

My green flag rescue app can use a sat connection to call for help if no mobile signal.

It's available on all iPhones with the latest iOS and not network specific.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

Looks like its an Apple feature rather than a network feature @Enlli  and I cant see o2 doing a T-Mobile US and offering an enhanced service..

Just that both the Pixel 9 and the S25 can use satellite.

Hope Google do something similar. I object to buying an inferior phone to get these baubles 🤣

Yeah Google restricting it to the US (excl. Hawai'i and Alaska) seems a bit odd, but it reads and sounds a lot better in some respects than Apples...
