As part of my virgin volt offer I have been signed up to an 18 month contract with O2.
Due to a failure on Virgin Media’s side it’s now looking likely that VM cannot complete the install. As such, I am now being faced with a decision to cancel their proposed installation. Where does this sit between myself and O2? Clearly if there are any suggested early termination fees, I would be expecting these to be covered by VM.
Could you please advise in the interim? Thanks in advance.

If you have been signed up to a O2 contract then you need to make sure it's cancelled with O2

If in the first 14 days you can cancel free, just paying for any actual usage

If outside the 14 days there are likely to be termination fees (18 months X tariff)

That would need to be taken up with Virginmedia

Regretfully they are two different contracts running on separate billing systems. O2 will keep you to the terms and conditions they laid down. That means after 14 days any cancellation will attract charges.

Will Virgin Media cover these? A good question but knowing Virgin as I do I suspect not.

You may well find yourself in a legal fight with Virgin.

May be worth posting on the Volt Section of the Virgin Community

https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Volt/ct-p/Volt

Also try ringing them on 0345-454-1111

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.
