Having recently moved to Lancaster University, I've been disappointed to discover that there's no 3G on campus, despite the O2 service checker saying otherwise. All of my friends on O2 are having the same issue (just E rather than 3G or 3G+). It's so slow that I couldn't use up all of my data allowance in a month if I tried, and given that EE are rolling out 4G now, I wonder whether this is going to be improved in the immediate future. If not, I'm going to have to move networks.
Are there any plans to fix this?

No, no 3G outdoors either. I'll give them a call...

Also looking at the coverage checker and sitefinder http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/search
The o2 mast is off campus and as it will be a busy 3g 2100 cell the cell reduces in size also states not good for mobile broadband (indoor or out).
Note from site finder some operators are on campus and may offer better coverage
