I badly need to access my prvs bills which I use to recieve by mail. I didnt download them before & I cant do it now. It's not paper & why cant O2 get me those bills. They must have archived but the bills are obtainable, I guess.
If the community or the O2 can answer, that'd be great. Thanks

While the records may well have to be archived for HMRC purposes, I doubt a customer has a right to insist on them.

Our accountant said if any customer needed copies for there vat etc we must be able to provide them to our customer. (but consumers not reclaiming vat may be different but o2 would still need to keep them somewhere )
It used to be 7 years until a few years ago .
That meant we could ditch loads of old stored accounts (pre computerisation)
Just my take and input

I still have Vat and HMRC records that are up to 7 years old, but I'm not aware that any of my customers can demand that I produce copies for them older than a couple of years.
I mean that I could, but is it compulsory, I'm doubtful?

@perksie I guess as we only do work for a goverment body that may be why our accountant advised us in that fashion.

Taken from http://www.o2.co.uk/termsandconditions/privacy-policy#retention
We retain information only for as long as we need it. In relation to the following information we are required to retain it for not less than six months and not more than two years in order to ensure that this information is available for the purpose of the investigation, detection and prosecution of serious crime:
Which all relates to the use of this website and the O2 Portal, however I think we can safely assume that this 2 year limit "might" be applied across all of O2.
If you were to ask for this sort of information it would be worthwhile doing it as a subject access request via the Data Protection Act, which will incur a maximum fee of £10 but that should get you all personal records that O2 hold for you.
