Hey guys.
In one of my old forums I was a member of (not existing anymore since this year), we had a thread where everybody just told in short what made them happy this day. Thought it would be nice for here too!
To start: I'm working for EMS and my first call today was am expected birth. So we hoped we would be able to bring her into hospital just in time. But it didn't work. I was at the patient and she just said "it's coming"... My team-mate was driving REALLY fast, it took him about an kilometer to brake - during that time the baby was just born. Even we were a really young team and not long into job, we did VERY well and even the doctors told us we did excellent.
(Our last call was a reanimation on the street, the woman did not get an own circulation again.... But I guess that's the circle of life :D)

@Glory1the items basically make me look like I have problem 😐😂 Hope you’re enjoying your retirement years 😀
@jonsieindeed 😏
No @mahj the items just show you love chocolate. If that's a problem it's shared by millions
And I'm enjoying my retirement very much, thank you. It's wonderful to be able to do what I want when I want. And I'm now going to bed when I used to get up for work, fantastic

Carpe Diem... Or Noctem in that case? At least you're enjoying life. And that's important.

Yes it is important @ComaChameleon. We only get one life so, if you can enjoy it. You won't get a second chance if you fluff the first.
Though I'm mindful of those who were enjoying life when life dealt them a cruel blow. @jonsie comes to mind, as do you with your recent loss. One has no control over the bad cards we are dealt just hope better ones are dealt in the next hand.

Those pre-dawn scribbles... Weird when it's the end of December and too warm for a duvet at 5am and the heating's been off since 10pm...
I hear you @pgn. I've actually got a window open, no heating's on and I'm still warm. It's this unseasonable weather I hate. I like it cold when it's meant to be cold and warm when it's meant to be warm. Mind you I'm normally awake at this time whatever the temperature

Whereas I know this unseasonably warm weather is a portent that the bad weather is still to hit us hard.
I always have a window open for the cats to go in and out. I'm not ashamed to say my heating is on...
