So breaking news before the start of the 2024 season:

Lewis Hamilton appears to be making a move to Ferrari for the 2025 season

A major shock as he signed a two year contract with Mercedes last season. So whether it was one year with an opt out clause for 2025 is anyone's guess.

This seems to be anything but a silly season rumour!

NB As Charles Leclerc has just signed a contract extension with Ferrari, it looks as if Lewis would be replacing Carlos Sainz.

It won't be a popular move. Also, not sure how Mercedes will handle that news THIS year as Lewis is driving for them until the end of 2024.

Will they put all their eggs in George Russells basket? (Hamilton came 3rd in the drivers championship last year and Russell came 8th)

It's ridiculous considering LH was leading the sprint race for 9 laps and brought that shed of a car home in 2nd.

3 hrs later and he can only manage 18th in Qualifying. 🙄

Last year Merc managed to come 2nd in the constructors. This year and 5 races in, Merc are only 5th in the constructors championship. Knowing Lewis is leaving them at the end of the year, they have no interest in making their 7 x WDC look good. They are pushing for GR to replace LH as team leader.

Good luck with that as GR has won 1 race in his whole career. Hamilton has won 103.

RACE CHINA.

Not a bad race if you ignore the leader (Max).

Lando did well to hold on to 2nd. There were 2 full safety cars and  a virtual safety car.

Lewis did well to move up the 9th. George was 6th.

Bit off that they wouldn't offer Lewis an ambassador role 'as he was too young' but they'll offer it to Max who is 13 years younger!!
