The Brain Teaser is open to all members of the 02 Community.

Those wishing to take part must pm [private message] me [@Mi-Amigo] with their answers between

       9 am today [Mon 04 Nov 2024] and 11 pm tomorrow [Tues 05 Nov 2024 - Bonfire Night]

Please note: deadline has been extended to allow more time to solve the puzzles and pm me your answers

and those who are busy or out-and-about will have a chance to join in.

Please DO NOT post answers on the thread.

Q7 What is

      One sack contains fake coins, with each fake coin weighing 1.1oz.

        There is no adhesive tape, glue or vacuum cleaner in the room, and you can`t leave the room to get

         help or equipment.

         How do you get the ping pong ball out of the pipe undamaged ?

THE ANSWERS

 

Q1 On Bonfire Night, the local caterers are selling food.

      How much does beef burger cost ?

A1  50p - same as all food costs 50p.

 

Q2 If yesterday was 5 days before the day after Sunday`s tomorrow, what day is tomorrow ?

A2  Saturday

       Sunday`s tomorrow is Monday, so day after Sunday`s tomorrow is Tuesday.

       Yesterday was 5 days before the day after Sunday`s tomorrow = 5 days before Tuesday - Thursday

        So today is Friday, which means tomorrow is Saturday.

 

Q3 Which of the following words is logically the odd one out 

       THEATRE  TODDLER   BAYONET   COUTURE   GLASSES

A3 Glasses

       The other words contain words of "the odd one out" - THEatre; tODDler; bayONEt; cOUTre.

        

Q4 There are three sequences of number

       Sequence A - 1, 2, 10

       Sequence B - 4, 5, 9

       Sequence C - 3, 7, 8

       Which Sequence does the number 6 belong with ?

A4  Sequence A. - numbers have three letters = one; two; ten.... six

 

Q5 Which of the following is the odd one out

       Four quizzers gave Braintree as not in Premier. Sorry cant` accept as this is Brain Teaser not WRQ.
