my 02 rubbish

My daughter got a new phone 5 days ago with O2 simplicity sim on the 11 pound a month tariff. 500mb data unlimited texts 500 any network mins.but after 5 days my o2 shows bill as 33 pounds and my daughter hasnt went over her allowances. The my o2 wont show how this bill is worked out.totally rubbish and 02 ripping me off

If it is not yet billed, on the right hand side of the my o2 main page(on a computer), about a third the way down, there is a section called "what I've used"
This gives you a breakdown of the unbilled amounts by clicking on the relevant sub section.
On the my o2 phone app if you click on the section called recent charges and that also gives a breakdown of the unbilled usage.
If it is already billed, visit the my o2 page on a computer and under the main bill amount there is a section to view a full breakdown of the bill.
If either of these are not working I strongly suggest calling customer services on 202 free from your o2 phone and select "billing and payment" and then "a problem with my bill"

Hi @Anonymous and a warm welcome to the community forum,

For your first O2 bill you are charged for the first couple of days connection, until the billing date, and then one month in advance.

Payment date is always 2 weeks after the billing date.

Your allowances will also be split during the initial few days, so allowances will be devided by 30 days times the number of days until your O2 bill is produced.

On a new account sometimes it takes around 24 hours for things to settle with the My02. If it continues then Customer Service on 202 should be able to help.

If you got a phone with a simplicity tariff you will have to pay for the phone upfront as simplicity is sim only, ie no phone included.
Is it possible the extra charge is for purchasing the handset?
