What many people don't realise is that other people only usually "complain" about a company or service on the internet. They very rarely praise.
So if you see many complaints they will only be a small percentage of the true reflection of the company......
Say a company handled 1,000,000 parcels a year and 1% of deliveries went wrong, this would result in 10,000 complaints (most likely all over the internet), but still 99% of customers would be happy......

The voice of logic, most of those critical here don't seem able to see that.

Unless people complain in writing to the company they will not take any actions to improve their service. Why do we have to put up with poor service. When I complained to UKMail I discovered they have flaws in their delivery process, customer service and also complaints procedures. I wrote the CEO to make him aware and also to O2. Complaining on the internet is a short form but to make a difference you have to complain in writing the old fashioned way. I would not raise this on the internet unless there was a basis for the complaint in UKMail's case they really do have issues which they need to deal with.

For balance the other week our 2 iphone 5s were out for delivery (we are a rural hard to find address)

I had a missed call as was driving at the time when I got back to the office 10 mins later rang the number it was the ukmail driver asking me to ring the depot number.

Rang the depot they took more details of the address location and said they had to get hold of the driver as he had limited orange coverage. They rang back a further 2 times before the driver could find us (driver admitted he had driven past 2 times as he was looking for a house not a workshop our workshop is called ashbourne house)

The driver appologised for the delay but safe delivery was made.

I guess it depends on area and workload.

I'm not sure they do looking at all the complaints, very similar to mine on the internet, and I'm not just talking about this site.

Anyway I've waited in for two days, made numerous phone calls and been fobbed off with "its on its way".  I have just phoned them this morning and been told it was left on my porch at 10.30 pm last night.  My whole family were in at 10.30pm last night so why not ring the doorbell.....I'll tell you why...because it wasn't left on my porch.  Its now lost.  I really wish I had not bothered upgrading my phone, this has been the most annoying and frustrating experience I've had in a long time.  Not at any time has this company got in contact with me to say that the parcel was delayed.  They have left me hanging on for two days.

Call O2 and get them to sort it out. As you haven't signed for it it's not your responsibility, yet....

Just be aware our UKMail delivery person signed our name and left the package, so make sure you ask for proof of signature if UKMail state that you signed for it. O2 - when I complained were very good, they offered to compensate me for my time wasted which they did and offered to arrange to for my delivery to be sent to the nearest O2 shop for me to collect etc. You can email O2's customer compliant team on cremail@o2.com

I rang O2 and they were very helpful.  What amazed me was the people at UKMail that O2 were talking to then decided to claim firstly they left it in the porch, then changed their minds and said they didnt.  They also claimed to have tried me both on the Tuesday and Wednesday at times myself and my daughter were here (and its very quiet here so we would have heard them)  they also said they'd left cards which they didnt.  When the driver finally arrived with the phone on Thursday I said to him how long I had been waiting and he said it was nothing to do with him.  Anyway, its all sorted but I will be writing to O2 and UKMail.
