I usually use about 600MB of my 1GB allowance every month, therefore on average about 20MB a day. My new month began on Friday but I didn't leave the house all day and was using my home wifi. I went out yesterday and used my phone as normal and not excessively. Getting home, I checked my usage and I've already used 120MB of my 1GB allowance in just two days.
I was wondering if there's a known issue with data usage at the minute. I used a little bit more data than normal in the first few days of having the phone back in December but it soon sorted itself out. I haven't changed any of my settings. Most notifications (Email, Facebook etc.) are switched off, my location settings are switched off and I've opted out of sending diagnostics to o2.

Had my iphone 3 weeks and could not connect to WIFI and had huge Data usage. Apple Genius were no help at all, said my Modem was too old and no help on the data! I've upgraded to Virgin Super Hub and my WIFIs fine-but still the 3G drain. Contacted O2 yesterday and was fed a steaming pile of garbage-very bad customer service, patronising, never heard of this issue before (yeah right) etc. Just have to turn off 3G when not in use like other posters and wait for both companies to admit there is a problem.
