In March 2013 I started a 24month contract with o2, for which I was given a refurbished iPhone3.
Today the phone stopped working. It had been fully charged this afternoon, and was on 100% when I left it earlier. I returned within an hour and could not turn the screen on, or in fact make it do anything at all. I've tried putting it on charge and plugging it into my laptop but nothing made any difference. I wonder if the battery might have expired.
Either way, there is nothing I can do.
What happens now? Can 02 repair/replace the phone?
I haven't damaged it and it isn't stolen, it has simply stopped working. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

First off, try resetting the phone.
Hold the HOME and POWER buttons down at the same time. Hopefully the Apple logo should appear in 10 - 20 seconds. Relase both buttons and see if the phone boots up.

If none of the above steps work I would still ask apple to repair it under warranty it is literally just over a year old and these things should be expected to last much longer so you may have a valid claim
