Hi,

I am tryin to purchase a game through charge to mobile on xbox but it's not working.  I've just been through xbox support and they said I need to contact you. I've completed all steps with xbox already.

How do I enable charge to mobile on my phone?

If you're a Pay As You Go or Pay Monthly customer,
you already have Charge to Mobile
so you don't have to do anything.

Did you setup Microsoft store purchases here ?

All info on Charge to mobile here  https://www.o2.co.uk/charge-to-mobile ?

If you have a spend cap applied to your account, you need to ask O2 to remove it.

Yes I followed the steps on https://www.o2.co.uk/help/digital-services/charge-to-mobile/windows-store-setup-instructions

I entered my mobile number, received the confirmation text and entered the code on Xbox. Xbox shows my mobile number as a billing option but won't let me use it.

I've just checked the o2 app and can't see a way to check the spend cap. Can it be done in the app or do I need ring 4445?

Probably an obvious question, but do you have enough credit on your PAYG sim?

Spend caps don't apply to PAYG so it's purely down to available credit.

Sorry I didn't realise you were PAYG. You just need to ensure you have enough credit I would think.

Yes I tried to buy a game below my current credit .

I also tried to purchase a gift card after listening to xbox support which was also below my current credit, which said not available for purchase.

I'd rather buy games directly since it should be supported.

I'd suggest calling 4445 to get O2 to check your account setup.

I rang support and they refreshed something on my account and I am hopeful it will work next time.

I couldn't buy the game I wanted because the sale had ended on it 😞 so I tested on an item which was more than my credit and it got processed before being rejected for insufficient funds, so it looks like it will work next time, I just have to wait for the next game sale.

Thank you
