Why is it so short in the first place? 15s is a stupidly short time. I use my phone for business and don't appreciate having customers getting diverted to voicemail when I could have answered the phone if the ring was a reasonable length.

I had to ring up O2 to transfer my old O2 number to my new O2 contract. Even then they cocked it up the first time and I had to ring them again, but it went through after that. I've still to check they have actually cancelled the old contract.
