I solved the issue after several days by reinstalling the eSim for which
I still had the QR code. But on 29 April I received the following sms:
"Hi,We're aware that due to a technical issue, you experienced a brief
loss of service (voice calls, texts...
I called 202 and yes, an esim pack can be sent (1-3 days) But the line
service is then suspended until the qr code is scanned and the customer
completes the transfer...maybe 4 days - WTF?
I had the exact same problem yesterday and o2 CS being unobtainable in
the current post-covid era even on "chat" I resorted to deleting the
esim from the phone, and reinstallation using the original qr code on
the card I had fortunately retained. Wor...
Are handsets not supplied with o2 firmware likely to benefit from
sms-over-net? O2 like to give out that only o2 firmware phones work with
volte/vowifi but this is not the case.
