For many who have already pre-ordered an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro, many of you will take delivery of your new phone from tomorrow. Happy days! For those who haven't yet pre-ordered but you're interested, then let's look at a way you'll be able to get a new iPhone 12 for less.

But how? By recycling your old tech with O2 Recycle
That's right, that old phone you're using right now, even if you're welllll overdue an upgrade, could be worth hundreds and help make getting a new iPhone 12 or 12 Pro more affordable than ever. And don't forget, only on O2 can you fully customise a tariff that's perfect for you. Choose how much to pay upfront, and spread the balance for up to 36 months to keep the cost down – or choose as little as three months if you want to pay it off quicker. Then, simply pick your data allowance. You can even change it every month if that’s your style.

How much can I get for my old tech?
It varies from device to device, and quotes change regularly, but see some current O2 Recycle rates below showing just how much you can make. These are just some examples, but if you check out the O2 Recycle website you'll be able to view more devices. And you can still use O2 Recycle even if your device is faulty, though this may decrease the value.

  • Get up to £574 for an iPhone 11 Pro Max 64GB
  • Get up to £493 for an iPhone 11 Pro 64GB
  • Get up to £383 for an iPhone 11 64GB
  • Get up to £310 for an iPhone Xs Max 64GB
  • Get up to £282 for an iPhone Xs 64GB
  • Get up to £229 for an iPhone X 64GB
  • Get up to £180 for an iPhone 8 Plus 256GB
  • All examples above correct as of 3pm 22 November 2020, and all examples assume device is in optimal condition. Please check the O2 Recycle website for up-to-date quotes and more info.

Why should you recycle?

We're a big fan of creating as little waste as possible, and we're set to become UK's first net zero mobile network. As part of that, we're encouraging customers to do what they can too, and you can do this with O2 Recycle. If you have no further need or use for your old device, then by recycling it with O2 Recycle:

  1. Get paid. We pay cash for your old phone directly into your bank account. We can also send you a cheque, or credit your phone bill if you're an O2 customer
  2. Trust. Since launching O2 Recycle, we've paid out over £230 million, and 9 out of 10 customers would recommend our service to their friends. So, it's a service you can trust fully.
  3. Competitive. With O2 Recycle, you can get a competitive price for your old phone, even if it's damaged
  4. Responsible. We have a zero landfill policy, so the vast majority of phones we receive will be reused, repaired or recycled for parts

How do you use O2 Recycle?
It's easy! All you need to do is follow the steps below over on our O2 Recycle website
