Link for nano sim : https://www.o2.co.uk/freesim/?campaign=1059

Just to add that if you go instore, make sure you get the correct type as the account settings such as sms are read off the sim card.

Hi.

Yes you can order a payg SIM card from O2's ; https://www.o2.co.uk/freesim/
or 4445 payg from an O2 powered mobile.

If you need a pay monthly one then dial 202 for contract customers.

You can also obtain one from using the Online Live Chat.

http://www.o2.co.uk/mobile/contactus

Or ask a friend or family member to pop into a local O2 high street store to pick a blank one up. They are free to everyone.

If your transferring your original mobile number and tariff over to the nano sim from your old SIM card ,then ask for a blank SIM card for your account type, and here is the online form to do this swapmysim procedure ;

http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

Or text SWAP to 20220.

Only do this when you've received your new nano sim card.

It takes from a few minutes to 24 hours to fully activate.

Please be aware if the retail store is following the correct procedure they WILL NOT hand over sim card. You need to go to the store with photo ID (Passport) and they will carry out the sim swap there and then. (I know there are store not following this rule) Otherwise you can order a sim online from the o@ site or as stated above call CS.

This rule was brought in to conter act fraud which as/is taking palce with sim cards.

Hi @uklee

That's the first time I've heard someone say this.

Why would someone need photo id for a blank SIM card ?
