S3 No Mobile network??

Just recently bought a Samsung SIII on contract with 02. Received it today and i've had no mobile coverage and says i can only make emergency calls only? Have i received a dodgy sim or does it just take a while to activate? Thanks

Hi Tracey, can take 24 - 48hrs to activate the new SIM. All depends on how busy O2 are, I got a Galaxy s3 on the 30th Dec. for my other half, and after waiting three days (bank holiday time) I contacted CS via Live Chat and the guy sorted it out within ten minutes. You probably need to call to activate the sim.

Seems strange as i've never had to ring to activate a sim before
